The aim of the Western Cape No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS®) is to provide no interest loans to people on low incomes living or working (paid or voluntary), in Weipa, Mapoon and Napranum areas.

These loans may be used to purchase essential household items e.g. fridges, washing machines etc., medical equipment or for other worthwhile purposes, up to $1,500 and for no more than 2 items at the discretion of the Western Cape NILS® Assessment Sub-Committee.

Repayment plans are tailored to suit individual circumstances and are usually repaid over a twelve-eighteen month period.
